Local Authorities have a statutory duty to report on the provision of childcare and early education in their area, including to what extent it is sufficient to meet the needs of parents/carers to allow them to work or undertake education or training. This report is known as a Childcare Sufficiency Assessment (CSA). The CSA for Leeds has recently been updated (2026).
