Yorkshire water are entering the next phase of work to renew the water mains through Pool-in-Wharfedale. They are keen to communicate the schedule of works as much as possible with residents, and are holding another drop in meeting to explain as much as possible. More info below directly from YW.
We wrote to you recently about upgrading pipes in your area. We’ve been working hard with our partner, United Infrastructure, and will soon be entering our next phase of work.
From 24 October until 1 November we’ll be working on Main Street at the junctions with Mill Lane and Church Close. To keep everyone safe during this time, traffic lights will be in place.
As part of this mains renewal scheme, we’re also planning work on Church Close, Millcroft and Mill Lane within the next few months. Some of this work may involve road closures. We’re still awaiting approval to complete this work, so we’ll write to you as soon as the details and dates are confirmed.

We’re hosting a community drop-in event on Monday 5th October between 3pm -6pm at Pool Village Hall, Arthington Ln, Pool in Wharfedale, Otley LS21 1LG,
where residents and businesses that may be impacted by the work are invited to come along to meet the project team from Yorkshire Water, and United Infrastructure. You’ll be able to ask questions and find out more about the work we’re doing.
What Else do You need to Know?
- Our team will work 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.
- Driveways will not be impacted but on-street parking will be affected.
- Bin collections will not be affected, please put your bin out as normal.
- If we need to briefly interrupt your water supply, you’ll receive a card notifying you of the dates and times in advance.
- We don’t need access to your home. Please remember to always ask for identification before letting anyone into your home.
