An update from LCC Highways Department @1600 – 07/10/26

Just to make you aware we have received 2 separate emergency works permits for Creskeld Lane, Bramhope

  1. Yorkshire Water OUTSIDE 1 CRESKELD LANE LEEDS LS16 9ER with a road closure from yesterday
    https://one.network/?GB152876691
  2. Northern PowerGrid O/S 32. LS16 9ES also with a road closure from today at the other end of Creskeld Lane
    https://one.network/?GB152900732

Both works are with road closures were presented to us as a clash but as they are emergency works must continue

Having spoke to both sides, Yorkshire Water inform me, they have completed the leak and reinstated and have someone on their way out to remove the TM and reopen their part of the closure ASAP, I’m awaiting a response from NPG as to what their expected duration will be.

Unfortunately, residents around Creskeld Lane are facing yet another road closure.

Creskeld Lane is currently closed for essential works to repair a leaking communication pipe. The closure is expected to remain in place 24 hours a day until Late Sunday 11th October, although access to homes will be maintained.

Nobody would argue that essential repairs should not be carried out. But we do feel for residents here, who have endured an extraordinary amount of disruption over the past six months.

Hopefully these latest works can be completed promptly and Creskeld Lane can finally enjoy a rather more uneventful few months.

Information can be found here https://one.network/?tm=GB152884179 and in the below Traffic Notice.
